Dilemma

Argh.... I have this very urge to convert my D40 to IR. Means no turning back.... it can only take IR photos from now on. But good thing is no more filters and tripod... much easier to take. Conversion is about $250.... How how? Tell me??

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dilemma No. 2 : Ok that does it I bought a D70 for $300. Now another dilemma

So now i am considering which cam to mod and which to use for my normal shoots.

On one hand modding the D40 and using D70 for normal shoots can be considered an upgrade (yes/no?) since it has more features like exposure bracketing and all that. But the technology is older and has more shutter counts.

On the other hand, D40 has better technology and noise control (am I right?) compared to D70. Both cams does not have warranty anymore.

So if i use D70 for normal shoot is that a upgrade or a downgrade???

How how how!!!
ARGH!!!!

Advantages of D70
  • Auto bracketing for exposure and white balance
  • More lenses compatibility
  • Seems to have a better grip because its heavier

Advantages of D40

  • Light weight
  • More vibrant colours
  • Less shutter count of about 10k
